The following information is part of the contract that will be sent to you once you have informed The Sheep Show that you would like to go ahead.

Requirements for The Sheep Show

The management to provide a quiet, firm , flat ,dry area of ground 20m wide x 8m deep (with extra area for the audience in the front), also close access to water, preferably a stand pipe. A 13 amp electrical supply would be appreciated (3.0 kva), please inform if this is unavailable. Also approx 40 chairs if possible. The management also to provide adequate access for vehicle (14'6 high x 65' long ). The artiste will provide a 40ft trailer stage with PA system, radio mic (freq 174.8 - 175.0) and lighting, also nine show sheep and shearing sheep. If the showground is normally agricultural land for the use of animals or there are other cloven hoof animals in the show, then the current licensing and movement restrictions in force from D.E.F.R.A will apply and permission will be required from the site owners to bring sheep. If this isn't the case please inform The Sheep Show and they will apply for their own licence. There will be two people in attendance. The artiste carries £5 million public liability insurance.
Should inclement weather or other circumstances beyond the artiste control prevent the artiste from presenting their act on the day, the aforementioned fee will still be payable, provided the artiste attend the venue.

Requirements for The Sheep Shearing Show

Up to 4 shows per day.
The management to provide a quiet, firm, flat, dry area of ground 5m wide x 4m deep (with extra area for the audience in the front), also close access to water. The artiste will provide trailer stage with PA system, radio mic (freq 174.8 - 175.0), powered by its own battery supply, also four shearing sheep. If the showground is normally agricultural land or there are other exhibitors that have cloven hoof animals ie sheep, cattle, goats, then an animal gathering licence must be applied for from Defra, otherwise if The Sheepshow are the only ones, then please inform and they will apply for their own licence. It operates its own bio-secure unit for current legislation. There will be one person in attendance. The artiste carries £5 million public liability insurance.

Requirements for Sheep Racing

A 100m fenced off race track 5m wide, access for transport trailer to and from race area. A 3-4m square collecting ring. A PA system with a head mic. If the showground is normally agricultural land or there are other exhibitors that have cloven hoof animals ie sheep, cattle, goats, then an animal gathering licence must be applied for from Defra otherwise if The Sheepshow are the only ones, then please inform and they will apply for their own licence.

Requirements for Sheep Dog Display

At least a 50m square livestock proof area with access for transport trailer and PA system with head mic. An area of 5m x 4m deep for the sheep to rest between acts. If the showground is normally agricultural land or there are other exhibitors that have cloven hoof animals ie sheep, cattle, goats, then an animal gathering licence must be applied for from Defra otherwise if The Sheepshow are the only ones, then please inform and they will apply for their own licence .
